Delete your Moii account
You can delete your Moii account at any time, from inside the app.
In the app
- Open Moii and go to Profile.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Read what will happen, confirm, and your account is closed immediately.
Without the app
You do not need to reinstall Moii. Email support@moiiauctions.com from any address with the subject Delete my Moii account, and tell us the phone number, Apple ID email or Google account you signed in with. We will confirm that the account is yours, delete it, and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in methods — phone number, Apple and Google links
- Your name and email address
- Saved auctions, notification settings and notification history
- Push notification tokens for every device
- All active sessions, immediately
What is kept, and why
Some records cannot be removed without changing something that does not belong to you alone, or without destroying a transaction record we may have to answer for. These are kept, and they are no longer linked to your name, email address, phone number or sign-in accounts:
- Bids you submitted, because they are part of the auctions they were entered into
- Payments and refunds, as transaction records
- A record of which version of the Official Rules you accepted
- Whether you declared yourself 18 or older and living in Ethiopia, and when (your date of birth was never stored)
- Your referral code, referral links and the points they earned, because they also belong to the other participant's record
- Security and integrity logs, which record actions rather than personal details
The one exception is a prize you won. Its claim is kept with the legal name you declared and, for a delivery, the recipient name, phone number, address and notes you gave for that prize, because a delivery or collection may have to be evidenced or disputed afterwards.
If you have already paid for a prize that has not yet been delivered or collected, deleting your account does not cancel it. We keep the delivery or collection details you gave for that prize and still deliver it or hold it for collection. You will not receive updates in the app after deletion, so email support@moiiauctions.com with any question about it. A prize you won but have not paid for is forfeited.
